Tunic sweaters are more versatile than you may think. They are no longer the oversized poncho types
they used to be. In fact they are very
stylish. In this quick guide we’ll
examine how you can wear women’s long tunic sweaters.
Sweater tunics for women can be worn in every which way possible. My favorite is as a dress. Wearing women’s long tunic sweaters as dresses is cute and
adorable as long as you select the right fabric. You’ll want to go with a thin lightweight
fabric. Petites can easily get away with
this however; tall women are pretty much out of luck on this one. A nice long ivory tunic sweater can be worn as a mini
dress if you like to show off those sexy legs of yours. If you’re too skeptical you can always put on
a pair of tights and problem solved. If
you are average height, leggings might help as well. Add a belt to help define your waist a little
more and you’re good to go.
Next, sweater tunics for women should not be too
short. This is another area where
petites rule the tunic world. The point
behind a long cotton tunic sweater is to avoid making your thighs look wider than
they actually are. If the hem falls just
under your butt that means the front will come down to the widest part of your
thighs. This does not look cute and
doesn’t do anything for your body.
One thing you can do with long sleeve tunic sweaters is tuck them in. This may not sound like a good idea but trust
me it is! You can’t do this with every
tunic. A crochet tunic sweater will look dreadful tucked
in however; a nice solid color soft knit tunic
will look great tucked into a pair of skinny jeans as long as its not
wide and drapes on your body.
