Even though tunic sweaters are versatile, the one
main rule remains which is wear them with leggings! I know you’re probably tired of hearing
everyone harp on this however it is true.
So perhaps tunic sweaters aren’t quite as versatile
as you thought? Nonsense! The following examines a few legging/tunic
sweater match ups that look great.
There’s no reason to complain about
leggings and tunics. Think of tunic
sweaters as your savior to tights and leggings.
After all, tights and leggings aren’t very flattering to your butt no
matter how cute, tight, and sexy you think it is, it just doesn’t look great in
tights or leggings. Jeans, yes, skirts
yes, leggings, no!
Casual: You can wear a nice looking
long sleeve tunic sweater with leggings for a nice casual outfit. This is perfect for a trip to the mall,
lounging at home, or going out with friends to lunch or a movie. Since tunic sweaters are winter ware they
give you another reason to wear your cutest boots. A tunic sweater,
leggings, and boots is the perfect casual outfit.
Layered: I’ve mentioned a few ways
you can layer cotton tunic sweaters however; I forgot to mention they work
really well with button down collared shirts.
Just like a crew neck or v neck, you can let the bottom and cuffs of a
button down shirt poke out the bottom as long as the tunic sweater isn’t too
long. Slim fitting tunic sweaters are
best with this look and they’ll cover more up top if you happen to have a deep
v neck in your neckline.
Work: Depending on your dress
code, you can pair up a great fitting ivory tunic sweater under a blazer or over a
solid color camisole. You’ll have to
change out your leggings for slim fitting slacks however; the look will still
be professional and you will look sharp and cute.
