Women of all shapes and sizes can look great in a sweater dress

In another post we examined how big bottom girls can look great in a sweater dress.  In this post we’ll continue the discussion of how you can pick the right plus size sweaters to fit your naturally curvy body.

First off, what are you wearing it for?  Do you want a nice white sweater dress for work?  How about a red sweater dress for a party?  Maybe you want a pink sweater dress for every day casual wear?  You can wear any color for every occasion however; finding the right fit and cut is the important thing to consider.

For the office you can create a monochromatic look with a white long cardigan sweater and black tights.  Layer the sweater over a nice neutral color camisole and you will have a nice professional look for work.  Finish it off with some black heels and some subtle earrings.

If dressing for a party, red sweaters look nice.  Red is a nice festive color and looks great at a holiday party either at work or with friends.  You’ll want to try to find a red plus size sweater with a slouchy neck or sleeves.  This is great for a casual look which is what party atmospheres are anyway right?  Depending on the party you can add some nice tights or skinny jeans and a pair of pumps.

For a nice every day sweater dress you can wear those with a collar shawl or ribbed knit.  If you are plus size avoid stripes.  If you want to show off a bit of your curves add a thin belt at the waist to avoid that boxy look a long plus size sweater may give.
